Anyone know of a MFR making a fiber Optic replacement for the Single Six Hunter?

William's makes optic sets, but you can buy just the fromt if you call them.

Marbles makes for the SRH, and if the SS Hunter has the plunger that releases the front sight they might work as well. I put one on my SBH Bisley Hunter.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I'm interested as well. I called Ruger and they said they don't have a FO sight for the SSH and the best way to remove the front sight is with a hammer and break the pin that holds the sight in, then order a new pin. It isn't the simple plunger release like the SBH or SRH. I sure do hope you find something.

X's 2. I believe the single six hunter, BHH, and red hawk hunter all take the same front sight system, but may be wrong. I have a marvel fo on my bisley hunter. Just make sure you order one the correct height or close as possible.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

I'm checking to see what mod's can be done to a No. 1 rifle sight to make it fit. If it can be done, I will be using a NECG, fiber optic bead in the 0.415 height.

Please stand by...

I just received, and installed a front sight for the Ruger No. 1 and M77 Mark II. 0.415" height. It's the exact same blade as the single six hunter. (The good folks at Ruger told me it would not work but the proof now sets in the dovetail of the Hunter.) I'll be ordering a fiber optic No. 1 site tommorow from New England Custom Guns. $34!

Hope the rest of you old eye guys like me pass the word along.
