I had posted this picture of a post WWII S&W advertisement for their "new" K series Masterpiece revolvers in 22, 32 and 38. Could not help but think what a cased set of these three Smith`s would be worth today....

Saw a couple of 22 Masterpiece's at the gun show yesterday - couldn't find enough change under the couch cushions.

Did pause long and held a beautiful long-barreled model 48 - drooled on it hard. And walked away.

I always liked the K frame. You felt like you had a good dolid piece in your hand.

A family member of mine has all 3, still in boxes, wrapped in this tissue like paper from the factory.

But no cased set.
