Hey Guys.

Just a heads up. I'm working with Bob Palermo, owner of Penn Bullets, to get a tour of the facility and production floor. Unless something comes up in the meantime I'm going to meet him on February 20. During the visit I'm going to document the production cast bullet making process along with lots of pics then write it up for the website.

I've never been inside a facility that mass produces any type of bullet and I can only guess that most of you have not either. So this should offer a great deal of insite to the inner working of a bullet plant for all of us to understand what goes into making projectiles.

Also plan on restocking my cast bullet inventory while there! Will keep you updated.

Wow, that sound great. I look forward to seeing how the pros do it. I started casting a few years ago and it's a great hobby.

I've been through parts of the Nosler factory but I haven't been through the whole thing and especially not since the explosion or the addition across the street where they do the Nosler Custom work. I have a buddy that runs the Nosler Custom Ammo department and I've thought about getting a tour. The coolest thing though was when I got to the pro shop early one morning and John Nosler invited me in for coffee. He was quite a guy.

Got to go on a tour of Sierra's plant many years ago. Very interesting and employees were very nice and helpful. One thing out of Sierra is don't touch the bullets..LOL At the time you could buy bullets by the pound. Enjoy your trip.

that is great that you will get the tour. Take plenty of photos.
Those ThunderHead bullets I got from you a few years back shot great from my Ruger 45LC. I ordered a batch on them in 270grn and I'm still shooting them.

Well, I'm still going for the tour but Cindy won't be able to make it. Colt came down with strep throat over the weekend and is going to the doc today.....bummed that my little dude is sick and that Cindy can't go with me!

Oh well...the plus side is that I may be able to sneak more bullets in the house if she doesn't know how many boxes I buy!
