Thought this would be a just for fun/informative topic.

What kind of scope covers do you or have you used. Pros and cons. Likes and dislikes.
The only ones I've personally used are the caps that pop open with the push of a button. A little noisy in close quarters but overall, I like them.

That's what I use, just on the occular lens though as that is the one that is exposed to the snow and debris when carrying.

My XP-100 .308's 4X Leupold has threaded Alumicovers. They are removed in the blind. They are fine for that kind of hunting but would be impracticle for still hunting.

I do not use them.

It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

I don't use them. I hunt iron sights in the rain, makes it easier.

The God who gave us such a beautiful land, wonderful game, and the sport of hunting is worth knowing.

I have the flip covers on my SRH. My hunting rifles either use the bikini style covers, no no covers at all. The rifle covers usually end up getting lost halfway through the season and not found till mid summer.

I use Butler Creek scope covers for nearly 90% of my scoped revolvers, single shots and yes, rifles, too. Keeps them clean and dry, regardless of conditions, and easy to deploy when you need to shoot.

Have one set of the Leupold Alumina magnetic covers on one rig as well. Nice, but $$$.

Butler creek here as well on the rifles.

My SBHH wears one of the bikini covers that come with the Ultradot. I normally take it off and leave it in the case when I head out in the morning and put it back on in the evening. Shoulder holster keeps most of the rain and crap off the lens during the day.

I use bikini rubber covers if i need anything at all, I don't like the flip open covers on my handguns, they seem to affect the FOV.

I use bikini covers but only when cleaning the gun to keep solvent off the glass. I take them off when I leave the truck.

I use several types, the flip open style with my cheat sheets taped to them, and mounted so they flip open to opposing sides and I can still see over the scope. Depending on weather, rain, snow, fog whatever I have a couple sets of the clear see thru type. I have also made some bikini style out of inner tube, with a long tab on the close end, when ready to shoot just pull the tab back and let'er fly, pops right off. I made these so if they get lost no big deal.

How are you sealing the ends of the innertube ?

Not sealing them, find the right size tube and cut a cross section out of it, then stretch it over scope from end to end. Tire shops usually just toss old tubes, but they are getting harder to find, everything is tubeless these days. I've also used the stretchy elastic bands that you get from physical therapy and just tied a knot in it.

It snowed and/or sleeted almost everyday of my mule deer hunt this past October. I semi-packed kleenex on the back of the J-Point while my gun was in the holster and just quickly picked it out when it was time to shoot. I've done this with scopes too.

Don't confuse shooting with hunting.

Butler Creek on my XP's. Don't really use much on guns that I still hunt with. On ugly days I have taken a set of rifle scope covers. The ones that are the plastic caps with one clear and one yellow lense held together with elastic cords. Often you can pull the cords through the hole in one cap then reknot it to make the cord shorter. The caps are always larger in diameter than the pistol scope lenses but I just stick'em on and go, they keep out the rain and goo, quick to take off and still can shoot with them on if I had to. If I loose them, no big deal...have a drawer full of more.

Just checked mine and they too are Butler Creek, with the solid covers. Never used the one's with the see through covers.
I like them for their ease of deployment. A little noisy when they "pop" open but thats controllable. They're usually only closed when moving through the thick stuff or of course bad weather. They've been on the same scope for many years and have never failed me.
