I use a pair I picked up at Gander Mountain. They have extendable legs that lock by twisting collers. I have another pair that extend in 3 sections by flipping cam tabs. I prefer the pair from Gander Mountain. Easier to adjust. I have also used a mono pod, but didn't care for that at all. These have all been the medium height. Not tall enough to use while standing, but from kneeling or sitting work well.

Reno, I use a Stoney Point monopod, and I also made a bipod out of bamboo. The monopod is what I use most of the time.

I use a Stoney Point tripod with small rear arm attached to the rear leg. Rest the frame of the gun on the tripod and the MIDDLE of your forearm on the rear arm. I've done shots out to 200+ yards with this set up.

Three dowel rods, held together by a strong rubber band works as good as anything that I have used. It is infinitely adjustable by just slipping the band higher or lower. Just a "cheap" solution.
It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

I have a Stoney Point bipod that extends in three sections. It's short enough to shoot sitting and tall enough to use standing. Also has the attachment to make it a tripod. I never still hunt without it.

I've used the stoney point steady stix, Bipod, Tripod and monopod but i've settled on the Trigger Sticks bipod but may also get the tripod.

I don’t think this counts but I am throwing it out there. I like to use a camera tripod and set a sand bag on top of it to rest my firearm. It works for me, but it may not be what you are looking for.

Reno41 Were they the Primos trigger stick? A buddy of mine let me use his to turkey hunt last year. They worked so well that I got me one. Just squeeze the trigger to adjust. They are pricey though.

I have a set of shooting stix I picked up at our local "Three Bears" store a while back. They are elastic shock-corded together, like tent poles for a dome tent. They come apart and fold up to about sixteen inches, then drop down and come together with a gentle shake. They are only long enough for sitting, but they work great. I cant remember the brand, and it's noy written any where on them. Sorry. They only cost me about $25.00 if I remember right.
If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

Cabelas, Bass Pro, Midwayusa, & Gander Mountain should have them. I got mine from Cabelas.

The Primos trigger sticks are pricey but they work great. I have a mono pod and I just got the Tri Pod model.I havn't tried the TriPod in the field but so far on the range I'm really liking it. A little heavier than what I like to cary but when I'm going to sit somewhere for the evening or morning hunt it will be great. The monopod model is greaat for still hunting. They say not to use it as a walking stick but I've found mine pretty handy for that as well. Mike
Enjoy your family and friends today as they may not be here tomorow.

I've been using the Bog-Pod bipod the last couple years and love them, esp. with the swiveling cradle. Much better and sturdier than the Stoney Point sticks, IMO.
