All the talk about 357 magnum got the best of me and I bought a 6 i/2 inch blackhawk, with a 180 gr xtp it looks like it has an advantage in velocity and pressure but I did a search on it Ive come across many posts that say it is very hard on guns, one post even said Freedom says dont use it,any thoughts?

I'd heard that as well. H110 is my choice for the magnums, and runs right at about the same speed.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I stay away form LiL Gun because of what I have heard FA say about it…

In a 357, I might even try AA#9, 2400, or 1680… I have had really good luck with these in my 357 Max and I am working on them right now in my Dad's 10in 357 Mag and heavy cast bullets.

Put me down as one who did not wreck his FA with the stuff, but my forcing cone does not look like it should. If you do not already have a bunch of it, my vote is to try something more proven.

I've read about it here and other forums, but I like Lilgun and have loads for 41 mag to 500 S&W. I have never noticed any problems in any of my guns. For me the Lilgun powder may be the most accurate out of my guns...I guess they would'nt sell it if it was an obvios problem... I use it alot...

There is "Obvious Problems" with it..the info is everywhere!...even manufactures like Freedom Arms have crosscut revolvers to show that LilGun is ruining guns!!!
???Magnum pistol is not the application that this powder is/was intended for... For little guns it is great stuff. It will out preform any other powder in a 22 Hornet. It will keep raising velocities long after 2400 starts breaking brass in the hornet.

It burns way hotter than any other powder in a mag pistol. Too HOT for magnum pistols.

Mister, why do you carry a 45? "Because Sam Colt don't make a 46."
