Very Nice! That .475 is pretty fine too.

If it were supposed to be easy, they'd have sent my little sister to do it.

I love it when a great plan comes together. That will look sweet on your wall. Love the bare skull mounts.

Handgunning trophy size game is hard enough, but then to get it on camera? That doubles the difficulty.
Great job Greg !

That came out looking good Greg! That's one thing about elk, finding a place to put their horns can be trying.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

Regarding my hat, it came from a custom hat shop in Texas that a local feed store was trying to sell off for an exorbitant price but I waited 6 mos and when they couldn't sell it I bought it for cost and then modified it so much that they would not recognize it. Some mods are black/tan leather stampede strings with .475 bullets on the ends; turkey feather, elk ivories (one in front and two on the sides), custom hand shaping, and custom hat band.

Thanks for asking.

That's a beautiful skull mount. One day, I will add elk to my trophy wall. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of gun is your 475? Barrel length? And what sight is on it in the picture above? Thanks, and congratulations again on such a beautiful mount.

Once again great bull, and a fine looking European mount.

Ol' Blue is an older Ruger Bisley (Ser. #47-33XXX) customized by Wapiti Rod (Dixie Firearms) with a 5 3/8" barrel; matte finish, stainless cylinder, polished hammer, screws, pins, trigger, cylinder pin, and ejector rod. I installed a JPoint 4 min red dot on a JPoint factory base.

The grips, which aren't visible in the above photo, were customized by yours truly with elk ivories and color. Here it is right after the kill; a little worse for wear:

Thank you sir for the compliment.

Those wear marks just show a very well liked ,much carried companion that you trust.Safe queens don't get them, honest working guns do.The grips don't look oversized. Are they just Smurfed factory or custom? Beautiful mount and revolver .

Nice trophy!

What load and bullet did you use? Details of the wound channel. Inquiring minds want to know

Again, congratulations
