Or, small?
Gonna buy a pile of 45ACP brass and was offered the option of large or small primer. Does it really matter? Not new to the 45ACP, just haven't loaded it until now. I was planning to use HS-6 and 200's, and have both small and large primers a plenty.

I don't load the smalls simply becuse most of i what I pick up at the range is LP. Its a pain to stop mid way through a loading and change out the primer set up to go from LP to SP. I think, and I may be wrong, but I believe LP is far more common. If I remember correctly the small primer brass was made for non toxic loads. Both are fine just make darn sure you don't have both out while reloading. Trying to stuff a LP into a SP pocket might end in a loud awakening

I thought everyone I had ever seen used a LPP. It was news to me. There is no range to pickup brass around here so what I buy is what I will use. If no real difference I will stay with the WLP's.

I think they were made for non toxic (green) ammo to be used in indoor ranges.

Heck just use a magnum primer and you won't even need powder. That little sucker will squirt that bullet right outta there.

I have done both I like the large better because they are just a bit easier to install
If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

Jeez, don't start this again! Start what? The SP primer works better in a revolver but either is OK in an auto. In the end a SP primer is also more accurate in the 1911 too.
