What are your hunting plans for 2012? What game, where, and what do you plan on using?

Probably go for antelope, deer, & elk. Waiting to see if I got a moose tag.

Will be using the Encore pistol. I have some Nosler BT's loaded for it & was thinking of loading some Barnes TSX's.

If I can get the SBH repaired by then I might use it some.

I'll be hunting Muskies all summer and deer in the fall. Various tackle and guns, right here in MN. Hopefully some 'yotes come winter with the 223 XP.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I've drawn a spring turkey permit here in WY. So I'll be going after bear and turkey this spring.

I'll more than likely just hunt WY this fall. Deer, antelope, elk and bear in state.

I hope to get a chance at a wolf this fall!

My main rig will be my FA 454 but I'll have my strike in 260 along. I picked up a 375 JDJ barrel last fall for my encore. I'd sure like to give that a work out on a bear or elk

Ahh yes a past time of my own also. Where do you fish at?

I should get drawn for MN bear (fall) and may or may not apply for SD mulie and pronghorn (have one preference point each) and of course MN whitetails.

On the long stretch, been applying for MN elk tag(would have to get real lucky)

Will be using my FA 454 and swift a frames

Leaving this Sunday with my son to go to FL to hunt hogs. Then April 14th Turkey season starts. I was going to go to Co to hunt with Gregg but just got laid off from my 18 year job. So getting preference point for next years season. Will be hunting Dolphin, King Mackeral, Spanish Mackeral and flounder this spring and summer. Then deer in the fall. Hopefully a black bear as well. Turkey with a bow, everything else handguns.

Pork all summer long. Then transition to small game in the early fall. Squirrel and rabbits. Later fall will be deer and hogs and black bear. Will be using my single six, and my scoped mkII government for small game. For big game I will use one of my now two Bisley Blackhawks, 44 maggie and 45 colt. The flattop blackhawk is always with me so it may see some action on pest animals or any target of opportunity. May try to make it to Kansas to hunt deer or chuckers but not sure yet. Possible that I go to Texas for some hunting also.

So far, I went hog hunting a couple of weeks ago and met with no success. More hog hunting in North Carolina later in the year (hopefully a few more times before it gets unbearably hot). I will also be hunting deer and black bear in North Carolina, and deer hunting in Virginia.

I will probably be using my .500 Max.

Ohio & Pennsylvania for deer, along with my home state of New York. I"ll be toting an Encore in P.A. 308 or 30-06, a muzzleloader in Ohio, bow at home, and other hunting handguns.

if I get time I did draw my spring bear tag and this summer I'll probably chase coyotes, rattlers and other targets of opportunity. This fall I'll most likely hunt mulies with my recurves and elk with my 300 Win Encore. I'll also have my fall bear tag and I already have my cougar tag but they will have to be encoutered while deer or elk hunting as I just don't have the time to hunt them specifically. I'll try and get some use out of my 454 and 500 as they are the newest in my collection but for me it's hard saying how things will play out for sure.

Whitetail this fall. Coyotes anytime I can. Hogs during the summer. Hopefully, black bear this year as well. All with my SBHH in 44, except when I deer hunt the clear cut, then I still use my 30-30 marlin. I know, I know, 30-30 comes in handguns too, but I cant bear to part with my old rifle.

Boot, your getting the boot! No rifles allowed in an all handgun forum.
Shhhh, don't tell anyone but I occasionally sneak out with my pre 64 Winchester 30-30 just to re-live childhood memories.

Lol! I wish I was comfortable with my 44 at 200 yds, but thats my woods gun, where everything is 100 or less. I wont tell on you cfish, because the first gun I ever shot, was my daddys 30-30, at 5yr old. As much as I've became a fan of handgun hunting, the ragged old 30-30 will probably always be around.

Or don't tell them I gave my rifles to my kids but kept one for nostalgia. Handgun hunting is ADDICTIVE!!!

Swine until the heat and skeets become unbearable...

Turkey kicks off in April (no handguns in the Carolinas), followed up by offshore fishing, inshore fishing - I hear ya on the beer consumption Bug - gotta stay hydrated
;\)
then dove season, archery season, blackpowder season, and back to the wheelguns/T/C's/XP's; and mix in a little duck hunting for good measure.

So...deer and hogs locally, all sports week in Texas in November, and may try to throw together a Western trip prior to...OTC antelope or mule deer?

And between muzzleloader and AR's, something will be whacked with a "long" gun...scratch that, already has

Just got thru applying for elk tags for the wife and self.Turkey coming up soon ,then varmits and doves till deer season. Went to Eastern Ky. last Sunday looking for elk sheds, but all 25 or so bulls seen still had headgear.Closest was 30 yds or so,big (to me)5x5, that was fun!!!!!!!!!

Deer, mule or whitetail, elk and maybe antelope this fall. Between now and then, whatever gets in my scope.

Spring turkey will open soon. Too bad short guns are not legal here. Whitetail deer with SBHH .44 this fall. Until then, my weapon of choice is my 20 Ft. Starcraft on Lake Michigan. Caught my limit of Coho Salmon yesterday. King Salmon and Rainbow Trout are next on my "hit" list this summer. Going to the range on a regular basis now, shooting the .44 mag. Improving slowly. Can't wait for deer season.
