Before you jump all over me...
I havn't decided to sell it yet, and I certianly wouldn't let it go for regular SBHH prices, but I have heard the 45lc version sometimes gos for big money on gunbroker...

I really only use iron sights for revolver shooting/hunting, so I'm considering using it to fund another project.

It's like new in box with all paperwork and rings. I have hunted with it and shot it a little. Mabey...100rnds.

What could I get for it?

Thanks
MN

If it is the Bisley version, I have seen them sell on the Ruger forum for upwards of $750 but the hogleg is not nearly as rare and won't fetch as much. Put it in the Ruger classifieds at whatever you want to start with and let the market tell you.

I'd love to have one of those in a Bisley.

I've got a new unfired .45 lc SBHH that Im concidering selling as well, so I have been watching Gunbroker to figure a price. This one sold last week, & it's identical to mine:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=278711032

Mine is unfired. with rings still wrapped in the box. I would let it go for $800.

Wow $949 for a non Bisley, I wonder if that was a real sale. I might be tempted to sell my Bisley at that price, but maybe not since it is my favorite.

The reason that the .45 Colt Bisley SBHH usually goes for more is that it is very rare. As I understand it there was only about 275 made.

I've got a Bisley 45 Colt, one of the first 279 made. It's not for sale

There have been some "clean up" guns built since the 05-06 run, they're up to 392 now. Here's the skinny from Lipseys.

An interesting note is that this is the only non-roll marked 45 Colt cylinder on any Bisley model.

Here's the skinny on the plow handle model.

Nor is mine or the one a friend of mine has. It is my favorite hunting handgun and that is saying a lot.

Decided to keep it....
Had a deal ready if I wanted it....
Went to gather the box, and paperwork, and looked at it for a while....

Couldn't go through with it. It's already been blooded, and is staying with me.

Thanks

You have made a good choice even when using iron sights it has been my experance that the Hunter version of the 45 Colt shoots better than the standard. I believe it is due to the heavier barrel.

I love my hunter. Its accurate and easy to shoot even with heavy loads. I wouldn't sell it for the world.
