I use them on my M1a. Have had no problem with them what so ever. What gun are you using them, what caliber?

I have a BFR 45-70 and I use the top split set up in a 3 ring. The scope has never moved. They would be fine. A little big for the scope but should work. What diameter tube do you have?

I have a 1" tube. It's a Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x32. Thanks cfish, I'll check them out.

+1 on what cfish2 said, I have them on some of my rifles and really like them. A little big for handguns but they will work with no scope movement.
