Matches or exeeds the S&W 500 balistics, but in a semi auto. Also saw a BFR chambered in this on gunblast. How bout that for a companion gun set... AR15 rifle shooting 400grn slugs at 1900fps with a 12 round mag, and a revolver on your hip that shoots the same ammo! Seems kinda cool. Pretty cheap too. May just have to pick up a Beowulf upper for my ar... MN

BUBBA journeyman Joined: Nov 2008 Posts: 75 S/E PA	A buddy of mine took an AR chambered in 50 Beowulf on one of our boar hunts. Knocked the snot outta the pig. Nice setup for sure. Havent seen the pistol yet.

The 50 Beowulf may appear to have a slight edge, but that comes from the closed breech and longer barrels. In similar actions and barrel lengths there's not 2 cents worth of difference.
