Ive got my eye on a Xp100 221 fireball. My questions are, how easy is it to swap out the barrel, could it being a 221 be swapped out for a common rd like the 243 and whats the going price on a XP100. Im looking at one and hes wanting $900 for it.

Im looking at one and hes wanting $900 for it. Back away, back slowly away. He is a thief, unless it has a $400 scope sitting atop it and/or some fantastic furniture. A 223 bolt face won't fit a 308 case head, but you can buy a different bolt.
Rod, too.

He has a Burris 2x scope with some out dated furniture on it . Its not really uo my alley but I thought about playing with it and passing it on just to see the difference between that and the striker.

Can't see the image - unless the Fireball is collector quality, you're looking around $450-500 for a base gun, then add for scopes, accessories, etc.
As Rod said, you'll have to either swap the bolt for a .473 bolt face for the calibers you mentioned, or have a 'smith open it up for you. The Fireballs are more plentiful, but a stock 7BR would allow you to make less modifications to go to the 308 family.

This is what hes got , whats the going price? What SC said, about $500 + or -, maybe a little more because the scope is Burris. I recently bought a minty 223 XP100, 14" barrel with thumbhole laminate stock and a pristine Burris 3-12x scope for $675 OTD. Deals are out there.
Rod, too.

In a nutshell, caliber changes on the Striker can be performed MUCH easier than with a standard XP, which would require gunsmith work, etc. (However, I think Ernie had a switch-barrel XP built)
And L hand bolt on the Striker, as opposed to R hand design on the XP.
Anything else? I've handled Strikers, but never shot one. Up to 3 XP's now.

I have a couple of switch barrel XP's! I do have a stainless steel Striker in 243 Win with a great trigger job (Mac's Gunworks). Was going to throw a 6-284 barrel on it, but may sell it.

The midgrip XP handles infinitely better than the Striker. The Striker handle is so fat the I couldn't even get to the trigger in a natural way, had to grind a bunch off of mine before I could shoot it. The Striker's left hand bolt handle is convenient, but it is a simple affair to turn an XP 45 degrees to allow your off hand to operate the bolt, or you can work it like you would a bolt rifle. The triggers are not even comparable. The Striker wins in ease of barrel changes, and the magazine is nice, but that is about it.
Rod, too.
