stock came on the big brown truck today!! everything is here now. below are the components with pictures and info.
the donor action is a SS large shank striker with a rifle basix SAV-2 trigger installed.

the barrel is a Krieger SS 9 twist #8 standard target

using center shot rifles Muscle brake
(need to take picture still)
7mm WSM Reamer and go gauge from PTG and recoil lug from SSS

ordered the stock inleted for AICS mags, this one is from
accuratemag

the stock is from XLR industries. Kyle and I went back and forth for a bit till I finally jumped in. took a bit longer than expected but it was well work it. these pics have my 6BRX barrel action in it until tomorrow.

there are some more pics on my photobucket account.

tomorrow the barrel should be threaded and chambered then installed, followed by threading for the brake.

got it all together today. WOW!!!! machine work on the barrel took a few hours. we then went to the range and i bore sighted it at 50 and shot 5 rounds of 140 VLDs. shot good. recoil was non existent! moved to the 100-200 line and set up. while waiting on other shooters I went inside and put it on the scales. 11.5 pounds. perfect. I then preceded to shoot a .625" three shot group at 100 yards with 168 VLDs. my buddy shot one round and it opened to just over an inch. back blast to the shooter is nothing but the massive overpressure to the sides and back will not make me any friends. ill get some pictures later and post them up. so far very pleased

as for range report- took it out Friday and shot it at 200 and 300. at 200 I was trying to fine tune the scope settings. I was dealing with a variable wind so it is still not perfect. at 300 we have a 12x12 steel plate and that was not even challenging enough to shoot more than a few times. i need to get back out and finish dialing it in at 200.

load development is not existent! kind of disappointed as I like to tinker around with that stuff. I used the same load as in my rifle. both cut with the same reamer and headspaced so close they might as well be the same.
168 VLD hunting pushed by 68.5 gr of RL25 net average 2550 with no pressure signs. I could go higher but why? the mag needed a plate installed in the front to keep the second round from tipping and binding. this is only because of how short the loads are. the bullets jump .170"! so much for bergers needed to be jamed! its the same OAL as my rifle loades. I was getting decent groups at 200 of 1.5" +/-.
scope needs changed to a finer crosshair for sure. I was getting brave and almost made it to full field of view by the end of the session. here is the pic at the range. the two cases with no primers are ones from my rifle I resized to headspace this barrel with.
the steel will all be coated, still up in the air on what coating and what color

IT is always fun to hear that 300 yards is boring!

I have the option of shooting at my parents place also. the farmer lets us hunt and shoot in the field. there is a side hill that works very good as a backstop so I may try to set up a 500 yard target one of these weekends and try that. sure would be nice to have steel hanging all the way to the corner but that is not feasible. I do have a 20-22" gong hunt at almost 900 but have not shot at it yet

thanks! its way to much fun shooting it. honestly the most fun gun I own. should have seen the guy at the range the first time i shot it. wow that thing is loud but doesnt move when you shoot what caliber is that? I told him and he was speechless, he finally said he had a 300 WSM in a rifle and does not like to shoot that because of recoil. this one is very easy on the shoulder!

Tyler,
Contact when you are ready.
For a SP it would be a private class, unless several SP users could attend at the same time (cheaper).
Also depends on the number of days you want-What you want to learn or fine tune skills on.

That is a bad machine. I could use that for crop sniping. reflex264
