I just scored a NIB Bisley SBHH in 45 Colt. This was the only gun I ever kicked myself for not buying when I had the chance a few years ago. I have been quite content with my 5.5" 45 BH in the same cal since, and have taken a couple deer with it. I just could not pass this one up. Not sure if I'm gonna scope it up and wring it out, or if I'll just look at it awhile, but by golly I sure have one now.

Congrat's! You are one of few.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Sweet find! I know you will like it, and if it shoots as good as mine does, you will REALLY like it!

Excellent! I saw those for sale, they sure went quick.

I say scope it and wring it out! That's what it's made for
\:D

Here's my first try at 100yds with mine. Wrist rest, 2X Weaver. The gun/scope combo makes me look good. The "almost" clover leaf was 3 in a row once I settled in. I did ream the throats to .4525 and cut the forcing cone to 11degrees. Yours may not need it. Mine is one of the original runs in 2005.

And if I scope it up, thats just the one I was lookin at. Good to see it makes a nice combo. Nice shooting, also. We'll see when it gets here. Thanks.

Steve, I'm kinda dealing with some heavy meds for a nerve flareup in my neck, once I get through this, I'd like to put up some pics, thanks for the interest.

Whitworth, I'm working on it. Meds are the only thing keeping it barely tolerable at this point. Going to see a specialist on fri. I herniated two discs in my neck about eight years ago. This is my second flareup since and for no good reason other than it felt like life was going to well. We'll see...

Ok, neck still not doing so well, but momma helped me take a couple pics of the new girl. It felt good to handle her again. No scope for it yet, maybe will order one up soon. Thinking about going with the 2x Weaver. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks for the compliments. I am unable to decide between a fixed 4x, or 2x. Most of the deer I've killed were all well within 60 yards. Its pretty thick around here for the most part. I'm leaning towards the 2x. I do have a lil scope experience on contender and encore pistols, they wore 2-6x or 2-7x variables. Truth is, I never hunted with either of them, I got kind of bored with how accurate they were, if that makes any sense. And now I go on a medicated ramble. Sorry guys, I'm in a holding pattern while Dr's and insurance companies figure out what we're going to do next.

I am being close minded about the red dot sights, only because I don't like adding batteries to the equation. But otherwise, if you folks want to share some of what your guns like scope and load wise, please feel free.
