A few months ago I asked for everyones opinion on the choices I had before me. I was considering a Raging Bull in 454 or a Ruger SBH in 45 Colt. Well here she is if I can figure out how to post the pic.My friend and hunting bud "Cadillac"and I got these SBH Hunters in 45 Colt. I've added a Belt Mountain base pin,Badger Grips and a trigger job with Wolff springs. Getting ready for Spring bear.Cadillac figured out how to post. This should be easier!!

I also have a Ruger SBH Hunter with Badger rosewood grips. It is a very nice looking handgun. I tried a Belt Mountain base pin, but it wouldn't fit. Did your slide right in?

magman - I use .25 dowl rod that I sand down a little then split it and install a piece of 1500 grit wet/dry and use this to hone the hole as needed. Each gun is a little different. Mine required use of my drill to complete the honeing. I did Cadilacs by hand. Worth the time though my gun shot two 14 shot groups today both were under 2" at 25 yds. off a sand bag on the hood of my truck. One was with 300 gr Hornady XTP mags and the other with Cast Performance 300 gr LNFGC both with 25 gr of 296 and CCI 200 LRP.
