Andyhunter, Your WT/Mulie hunt sounds like fun. As for me, I don't have anything planned for this year. Maybe Africa again next year, but who knows what the handguns regs. will be then.

I'm thinking about a cougar hunt in Idaho and I'm still trying to talk my wife into the maine bear hunt.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them. John Wayne-The Shootist

Now that sounds like fun! What will you be using for the Hogs and wee little javelina? You've got to let me know how those nasty little javelinas taste

HeHe---can already tell ya how they taste. Jest like a nasty little piggie!! Uh Um Goooooood!! Have a whole one in freezer from last year that we gonna cook whole at the 6th Annual weekend after Easter.
Jackrabbits--22 Hornet contender carbine with 40 gr NBT. Snattlerakes--either NAA 22 mag with #12 snakeshot or Ruger 2 3/4" Security 6 with homemade #9 snakeshot. Whichever is handiest. Pigs and others---Encore carbine with 150 Partitions.

I hope to draw a bear tag here in Michigan. I should have enough points to draw a tag. If so I am going to use my Super Redhawk .44

Hmmm. As a rule, any out of state trips will be with the handgun. Connecticut being the exception.
All of us put in for moose permits in Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire( except me, I won't be able to for three more years after getting one last year) as well as dad and I applied for New Brunswick( ok. no short guns, this will be a muzzleloader moose if we get picked) but all hinges on getting chosen in the lottery. If we're chosen, it will be another handgun moose hunt.
I will more than likely hunt New Hampshire for black bear and deer. I'll hunt over bait with the handgun. Most likely the TC 45-70 or Ruger Super Redhawk 454 Casull with a red dot.
New Hampshire muzzleloader deer season allows the use of handguns. I'll use a .50 caliber Kahnke M82 with a 100 grains of H777 and a 250 grain sabot. If I don't get one with the muzzleloading handgun, then I will use the TC Contender in 44 magnum.
I have contemplated a bison hunt in the future. I have been looking around on the net for different places. I think that may be done this year or the next. Definetly with the handgun.

Was just advised that I got drawn for an Oryx hunt next January. Should be fun. Hopefully, I'll add an elk tag as well.

Me and ol' "gtcontender" are headed to New Mexico the end of May for a Prairie Dog hunt. Never done it before but have always wanted to. Been loading .223 rounds on a single stage for a couple weeks now (1000 down, 2000 more to go)! Got a couple of .223 contender pistols in the array of weapons going with us

Long about the end of June I'll be on Charlie safari as many nights a week after work as I can. I'm going to concentrate on long distance shots more this year than getting numbers. I have a couple rigs set up for it now.
No real big hunting trips planned this year. Just the usual dear season and the early bear season in the Adirondac area.

Well...I'll be heading the the wild state of KY to hunt with our own good'ol KYODE!! The game will be deer in November. Should be toting my 14" unbraked .338JDJ#2 w/ Burris 3-12X32 BP (180gr NBT at 2500fps) and a new toy from On Target Technologies!!
Then in 2006 I'm planning on going to Colorado after a big'ol horny critter.....ELK!!! Started training already...three miles every other day with a 50# backpack. Been crunching out three miles at a 47 minute average...slight downhill grade leaving the house and the same grade but uphill on the way back without taking a break. After a few weeks I'll length the time and maybe add a little weight. Just need to find a road that is uphill both ways leaving then returning I'll be in good shape! For the weaspon of choice I'll be toting (again) the .338JDJ#2 (but this time loaded with 225gr Hornady Interlock bullets at 2275fps) and a RBH .45LC (loaded with 340gr Penn bullets) on the hip. Then in camp will be a 14" .375JDJ (270gr Hornady) and RBHH .44 Magnum (320gr Penn) as potential alternates depending on hunting conditions.
The 5AM hike comes early so I better be heading off to bed.......
