You have one month left to live. What is the one thing you want to do with your handgun before the end of the month?

Mine is to get in the books! I don't care if it is deer, elk, or bear. I just want to have ONE CRITTER in the books. Only thing is, I have always taken the first legal critter I come across so I can for sure have food in the freezer. I keep hoping that one day, the first one I see will make the books.

Other than that, I'd go shoot out all the stop lights on main street!!!

How folks judge a critter doesn't mean anything to me. I'd only hope for one more frosty morning, where there is a light breeze in my face, a comfortable oak to lean up against. Blackhawk in my lap, reminding me of all the things we've done and the places we've been. Absorbing all the sounds and smells that this tract of land has to offer. That feeling of knowing its all in place, now just wait patiently, knowing they will show up. Whats that? Footsteps? Yup, here they come, just like I figured they would. Sights line up perfectly, from the years of doing it, when I was hungry for success. This time, I dont even pull the hammer back. I think I may already be in heaven. Thats all, one more frosty morning.

I went from pow to Boom. I love the BOOM!

I have dreamed of the day that Canada alows handgun hunting. I can just imagine a huge Canadian moose in the scope of my pet .45.........moose sammiches

I would like to share a moment in the field with my wife. Sorry, no gun, but a camera to record the moment for our children. Her expression would be priceless.

I think I would reflect back on past hunts, as I do now.

I read this and all I could think of was this...

I would be spending a lot of time with my family. A high percentage of it would be outdoors...

Well, TCTex, ya kinda beat me to it. I was gonna wait till several of you had posted in response to this. Then my next post was going to be something to that same idea. I lost some family members a while back pretty unexpectedly. Yesterday I got to thinkin about them, and what whould they have done if they KNEW their time was coming. Now they don't have that chance, but I still do. So now, even though my wife is my best friend and we go eveywhere together, I'm going to start doing more of the things SHE wants to do. And when huntin season gets here, I wanna get in the books!!!

So, this year, I'm gonna do something I have never done before. I have NEVER passed on taking the first critter that would go in the freezer, but this year, I think I'm going to. I'm shootin for the books this season! This just could be the "last season" for any one of us. Ya never know.

I would encourage all of us to do that "one last thing" we wanted to do. Once its done, that memory will last forever, and will certainly be held close and be special. I know some of these things that have been mentioned require a vast amount of money. But at least your thinkin about it.

Like Tex said, I'm gonna start living like I'm dying!

I would spend every awake moment I had with my family. I would hunt and fish and I would hope that my last day on this earth was either with a handgun or fishing rod in my hand and my kids and wife by my side.
