I have run into a situation that I am sure I am not the first. When the Encore came out I bought one. Then another barrel and another........By now I can already here the Me toos!!!
Now I hate to change barrels. I have been trying to decide on a plan so that at least 3 guns stay made up. What do you fellers do? reflex264

I have them paired as best I can... LOL
I know people who have a frame for every barrel, but I have matched mine and tried to complement setups. EG Contenders: 15.75in 357 Max and 14in 22 K-Hornet 14in 445 Super Mag and 15in 25-35 14in 375 Win and 14in 22 Short Match
Encores: 16.5in 308 Win and 15in 22 Hornet 17.5in 375 JDJ and 15in 30 Herrett 15in 338 Fed and 16.5in 300 Whisper
A few for example... LOL...
Some people will tell you that the main reason they so careful with their setups is because every time you change barrels you are changing variables. If you don’t tighten the screws the same it will change the POI a little. Except for the 2 Contender barrels that just have one dovetail, all of mine have a hanger bar system and do very well. “A” hanger bar system diminishes those variables and free floats the barrels. FWIW…

I have a frame (contender & encore) for every bbl. The only ones that I " change out" are the bbls on my FA single shots. I also hate changing barrels.
It's more important where you hit 'em, than what you hit 'em with.

i have 2 encore frames....and 2 barrels a 15" MGM custom 6BR and a 15" factory 7mm-08. i had 4 originally but thinned out because i like the contender size best. one was a .243 and the other a 300 win mag.
lordy, i can hardly count my contenders all but 1 er 2 have their own frame.
12 1/2" 17mach 2 14" 22lr match 14" .223 14" 6x45(6mm/.223) 17" 6x47(6mm/.222mag or 204r) 14" 6tcu(6mm/.223 improved) 15" 6tcu 14" 30-30AI 14" 357max 14" 35rem rimmed
both encore frames are ss, 2 contender frames are G2(one blue, one ss) , the rest are old model easy open, and i think 50/50 blue/ss.
i think thats all accounted for if i had to pick one to get rid of, i don't think i could do it. love em!

4 Encore frames - one stays in rifle configuration, and the other 3 support 4 pistol barrels. One with the REALLY light trigger stays with the 6.5/270 JDJ. The others are free for rotation.
Juggling 4 barrels on 2 Tender frames currently - and perhaps another barrel in the works
Judging by the way I dislike changing barrels, I've avoided the "extra" cylinder option for some of my revolvers!

... if i had to pick one to get rid of, i don't think i could do it. love em! I have barrels that have been bequeathed and passed down that will never leave my collection. (Along with a 100+ year old Colt DA 38 and a Belgium Browning two barrel set over and under W/ box.) I cannot and will not choice just one TC barrel. I have found uses for barrels because of what they mean to me… Made them "special" in multiple ways... LOL Duane

No Encore frames, 1 Contender frame and 6 barrels. It is a switch barrel platform after all. Why blow more money on frames when there are so many wheelguns that need lovin ;-)
Rod, too.

Why blow more money on frames when there are so many wheelguns that need lovin ;-) lol, i understand. why waste money on revolvers when they all do the same job, at the same range? don't take that TOO seriously i like em too....but only have 2, n could use a 3rd er 4th sometime. no more than that mind you!

They are more versatile that is for sure, and I used to have twice as many barrels as I now have but I replaced the revolver chamberings with revolvers cause they are just more fun ;-)

What I am thinking about is leaving one rifle made up all the time. A .264 Win with a real V-Tac mounted on it. One for hand guns and one to rotate between shotgun and other rifle barrels. Too many irons in the fire!!!!!!!!!
