Defiance action, 7 Dakota, 18" Brux barrel, Holland radial brake, jewell trigger, curly maple stock, smith work by Gregg Tannel.

New antelope rig, XP action, 6 BRX, 18" Bartlein barrel, stock is mid grip aluminum and a work in progress that a buddy who builds is own target rifles machined for this build.

Yes both 8-32 with the MOA-2 reticle.

I have a question for you Ernie or anyone else who shoots a midgrip.

Keep in mind this gun has the original xp trigger assembly, I had a misfire during fire forming, trigger was pulled, pin did not drop till bolt was lifted !!! I was not shooting it, a friend was, we both knew what was going to happen when we lifted the bolt. A serious accident was avoided but, this can never happen again, what are my options ?

Bought the original xp on Gun Broker, never fired it, just cannabalized it.

Thanx, Kent

It fired when the bolt handle was completely up or when it started moving? That's really scary!!!

Just had to lift, I don't think the handle moved upward an 1/8 of an inch, it was still locked forward.

Yes factory original, as far as I can tell.

Is Mike Dewey still making triggers ?

I sent him an e-mail, no resopnse as of yet.

Do not have a smith locally, that I would have do this, in a timely manner, lopes on sept 25.

I would choose the Dell over the Dewey myself.
Likely all you need is a smith to fix/adjust whatever is the problem.

Swapped out triggers tonight, the one that had the misfire had been altered, main spring shortened and the head of a screw placed to fill the void. Pulled one apart that I bought last winter, cleaned and inspected. I am going to give it a go tomorrow. Just in case, do you have contact info for Dell ?

I guess from now on, if I buy any more used xp's I will have to pull the trigger completely apart and inspect, not just a visual from the outside.
