Would I shoot myself with this gun if I looked through the scope properly?

Thats a good one Darrell. Hope he hasn't used any of those gunsmithing skills to do an action job.

Just think, this guy probably thinks he did one heck of a job installing that scope. You should ask him if it's sighted in and ready to hunt, lol.....

Bad thing is that is not the first time I've seen that in an ad.

One dude even had the scope turned rearwards in a set of Super Redhawk rings on a Super Redhawk, you can imagine how that looked ;-)

I don't know what worries me more, the fact that someone is dumb enough to do that or that they may have shot it that way..............That was bad enough I couldn't even laugh, it's too scary.

well the "big" end of the scope always goes toward the muzzle right?

haha. I can't believe that. they must not have even looked through it.

I don't know how many people I have handed one of my revolvers (unloaded) to look at and they put the scope right up to their eye... I of course correct them and let them know that they would need facial work if they were to fire it that way

Can't post the link with my phone, but a couple weeks ago on GunsAmerica, I seen an ad for: Freedom Arms M83 in 44 mag with two extra cylinders (45 colt and 45 auto).

Wonder how that would work out?!?

i'd guess someone forgot the "5" in the middle of 44 but if not I'll watch why someone shoots the other cylinders (from a safe distance)

I'd go ahead and get a .357 Magnum, 41 Magnum, 475 Linebaugh, and 500 WE cylinder for it too!

Maybe we've been looking at this set up all wrong. Perhaps the guy was hoping the deer could get a good look at him before he made the shot?

The God who gave us such a beautiful land, wonderful game, and the sport of hunting is worth knowing.

It is amazing what you will see at the range. Several years ago the guy on the bench next to my buddy and me was having problems getting his 336 Marlin on paper. My buddy volunteered our services and on picking up the rifle I saw that the elevation turret was located at 90 deg. on the left side and the windage turret was in the 12 o’clock position. Fortunately we had the tools and were able to rotate the scope and get the rifle zerrowed. Several months prior to that incident we were on the same range where a shooter managed to get one of his fingers out in front of the muzzle of the barrel and put a long gash down his left index finger almost to the bone. It did not bleed a bit and I can only assume that the hot gasses cauterized the wound.
