Well, almost complete. Just need a fourth ring-- I snapped a screw head when installing the last ring. And also add the custom forend that should be here in a day or so! Sure am happy with this one!!! 460 S&W 14" MGM barrel and scope base. Three, soon to be four, Warne steel rings. Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x32 scope. MAN I love this stuff!!!
Update: I FINALLY got the picture to post! Well, my wife figured it out by following your instructions, but I can get it to! Thanks for the help!

What is the recoil like on a caliber such as the 460?

The recoil is AWESOME!!! That's half the fun in it! The other half is the big hole when it hits something!
I'm glad I went with the Encore. I like it a LOT better than the 12" Smith and Wesson X frame revolver I had! This Encore weighs as much or more, but is a much more manageable gun for sure.
Many thanks to MGM that took my barrel back, along with my frame, and custom fit them together. Action is as smooth as any other I have seen. Barrel issues are no longer present, and all hell is about to break loose!!!
As you guys can see, I FINALLY figured out how to post the picture in my original post! Thanks S4S4U!! Your instructions in the PM really helped my wife figure it out!! HAHA!!!

raptortrapper, why so many rings on your scope? I've seen S&W 500s with only two rings? Are the T/Cs(break open actions) so hard on scopes? Steve

Steve I can't speak for Paul, but additional rings help to reduce scope tube flex which is a cause of many scope failures. Also will reduce the likelyhood of the scope slipping back in the rings.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. I don't like taking ANY chances with my optics. The Leupolds are the ONLY ones I have had good luck with when it comes to the 460, and I want to protect them as much as possible as well.
I now have FOUR rings on the scope! That thing won't come off, move, wiggle, or flex AT ALL. Which, in turn, gives me that much more confidence in the set up.
Just personal preference really...

Confidence in your setup is a very good thing to have. Now if your wobble is bigger than you think it should be its probaly a loose butt nut instead of the scope!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha
