Hey all,

I am putting my mounting plate on my Taurus for the Ultradot that is on its way. I have to take the front sight off. I think I see a pin. Do I knock that out to remove the sight? Pretty basic question to have to answer but I don't want to mess up the iron sights either. My wife does not let me touch any thing sharp or mechanical. You think I'm kiddin don't you!

I was able to mount the plate without removing the front sight. How long is the barrel? I believe you can remove the pin and the sight will follow.

My wife just stands by with band aids.

Well, I figured out I was sent the wrong mount. It said 8 3/8" barrel on the package but the diagram was different than the mount I received. It would not quite line up. I have to send it back and try again. It is supposed to fit with the front sight on as you say

When you receive the correct mount you should have no problems.
