 320 Yard with a Ruger Charger

I had some fun this morning shooting a steel plate at 320 yards with my Ruger Charger. Thats the first time I attempted shooting that far with a .22lr handgun. The gun is wearing a 2.5-7 T/C handgun scope. I had to leave it at 2.5 in order for the plate to remain in the scopes field of view at that distance. I would walk it in by seeing the dirt fly on misses and usually hit it 2-3 times out of each 10 shot magazine. About the time I'd get on target it was time to change mags. Not that long a shot compared to what some guys are doing but it was a lot of fun!

Was doing that last week in WY with my Charger. Had a 25rd mag in and 3-12x Burris on top. Wind was a killer though. Was hold offfbetween 6-8' for windage at 200-250yds.

It's always fun to shoot 22lr long range. It allows one to really appreciate ballistics and wind!
