Wondering if anyone has a tried and true load for the 200gr SST bullets??? I had a box of the stock loads left over after starting my reloads with the 300gr xtp mags. I pulled the stock loads apart to get the brass cause they don't shoot for crap out of my Encore.

So I'm wonderin if anyone has a load that shoots well using these 200gr ftx bullets? I've only got 20 of them, and its not a huge concern, but just curious if there is something I can actually use these bullets for without having them be a total waste.

Yeah, I know every barrel is different and all that, but you guys know what I'm getting at.

Thanks!

If it were me I would have shot them out of the cases rather than pulling them ;-)

If you put them in a sock you can use them as a billy, like Bronson in Death Wish with quarters. Might be a good reason to get some Trail Boss.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Raptortrapper,

I dont have a load, cause My .460 S&W 15" Encore will not shoot the 200 gr Hornady bullet at all, or in any brand. I shoot the 275gr Barnes and have had great groups and luck with all one shot kills with it.
I have also shot heavier bullets with good results, I have found the .460 likes heavy bullets...JMO

Thanks. I did some research for a few days, and it appears that the light bullet isn't liked by very many reloaders. I have been shooting "lights out" with the 300gr xtp-mag, and I tend to believe if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

So I threw away the 20 ftx bullets I pulled out of the brass.

Check the Speer data , they have some reduced recoil loads with a 250 gr. gdhp, I used 19,20,21 gr. of power pistol.
