Okay, okay... So there is no such support group, but I'm thinkin there SHOULD be!

I'm in Rifle, but our land is in south Colorado just outside of Alamosa. That is where I hunt bear, deer, and elk. Never been turkey hunting, but always wanted to. May finally get my chance down there next year.

Well not going to call myself a full out handguner yet, but finally killed with a handgun. I live in Delta Co, outside of grandjunction. My uncle has been hunting with a contender for a few years and made me fall in love with the things. Bought a few handgun barrels in the last few years but have only loved and kept my contender with a 14" 30/30 ackley. Most accurate gun I've ever owned but never been brave enough to hunt with it. This year I decided that the gun shoots great, I'm confident in my loads, and why have it if all I use it for is paper. So I used it to kill my muly doe today. What a blast, and great performance, so may become a handguner after all.

Guns dont kill people, people kill people.

I'm in Rifle. I'd love to meet up with ya and do some shooting! You'll be hooked for life now that you've taken one with the handgun. Won't be long and you'll have two, then three, then four.... handguns that is. Kills to.

I live in Pine, Colorado. My favorite hunting handguns are a Custom .475 Linebaugh by Dixie Firearms that wears a JP Enterprises red dot sight, and a 30-06 JDJ Encore fitted with a Bushnell scope...oh and a 6.5 JDJ Contender...oh and a Ruger 22/45 for small game...

My best handgun trophy to date is a 204 inch typical mule deer. I have also taken a 320 class 6X6 Bull Elk with my scoped FA .454 Casull. Also taken several nice antelope bucks and horned does.

I have also killed a half dozen or so cow elk with handguns, so I also hunt for the meat. But when I hunt the male species I enjoy the challenge of hunting for a mature animal.

I enjoy filming handgun hunts, and produced a video on handgun hunting, which I sell through my website.

I very much like guiding handgun hunters, and do some handgun hunts every year under the name of Little Gun Outfitters.

Hi, my name's Matt, and i'm a Handgunner.....

Been shooting handguns for almost 7 years now (LEO) but just started shooting non-duty weapon handguns earlier this year. I have a contender with .223 and 7-30 waters, and an encore in 7mm-08. I'm still working on scopes for them all, and want to 'expand my horizons'.

I'm also relatively new to hunting as well. I did a little archery deer back in Michigan as a teenager, never successful, and recently started shotgunning for rabbits.

I would really like to find a mentor in the handgun hunting world to learn from and hunt with, as it seems that everyone that I've met that hunts already has their programs locked in.

Anyway, happy to be here. I've learned alot already, and look forward to learning more.

Matt

Hello Matt! Glad to have ya aboard! You'll enjoy the handgun hunting world. I used to use shotguns on rabbits to, then started going with my Ruger MKIII, and it makes it twice as fun!

Howdy Matt, get hold of Gregg Richter on here. He lives an hour or so out of Denver and does some outfitting for handgun hunters. He's also put out a video on handgun hunting mule deer and antelope and is working on one for elk now.

Thanks guys. I already have Gregg's antelope video, and must have watched it a dozen times already. I can't wait for the elk one.
Gregg, any ETA for that video?
