Good day

Is there any advantage in having a brake on a 6.5 X 47 Lapua other than recoil. My gunsmith just called to tell me he was done with my Striker and to see if I wanted a brake because he couldn't remember. I told him I'd be fine without but thaought I'd ask others that might have this calliber. This is a rechamber on my Savage Striker.
Thanks for now.
Mike
