I've been looking at 2x and 4x scopes, but can't decide on which one to buy.
I've got long arms so that cuts down my options. Had my gf measure from corner of my eye to back site and I have 19"

All suggestions would be a big help!

What is it going on? The Bushnell Elite 2-6x has long eye relief and would cover your magnification dilemma.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

So does the VXIII and the FXII from Leupold. Just a thought...

I'm a Leupold fan myself and I have 4x's on my .44 .45 .480 Ruger

Which scopes have you held which don't have enough eye relief?

I've never measured eye to back sight, but my wingspan is 76.5", so I'm right there with ya. I'm betting in actual use you'll find most EER pistol scopes will work fine. I'm using a 30-plus-year-old Leupold M8-2x and only have zero problems with eye relief.

I'm not sure how far you're planning (hoping) to shoot, but another option would be a red dot.

No mention of where you live or hunt. Also no mention of what you do with your revolver.

Have you given a 30mm UltraDot any thought?

I used Burris 2-7 handgun scopes on my Contenders for years, and I thought they were as good as a handgun scope gets. Then I started shooting Revolvers, and went with an UltraDot. I have been so impressed with the UltraDot 30 for handgun hunting that I am going to pull the Burris's off my 35 BullBerry and probably my wifes 6.5x30JDJ Contender barrels and replace them with 30mm UltraDots.

WHY??? I handgun hunt mostly in the woods, and I do not shoot over 100 yards at the deer I hunt. Both of my deer last year were at 50 thru 55 yards. That is pretty average range for me, and where I hunt.
The 30mm UltraDot is much quicker to get on target than a handgun scope. With an UltraDot you can see a lot better, as you have both eyes open, and you have a great field of view. No focus issues. No problem getting straight behind the scope. No problem seeing the cross hairs in low light. I seriously doubt I ever go back to a handgun scope on a deer hunting handgun.

Very happy with my Nikon's, run them on my 460 and 500. Like Bob R UltraDot is also a good way to go if hunting in cover.

I have 3 Bushnell 2-6x Great scope for the money. I have one Leoupold 2.5 x 8. I can buy 2 Bushnell's for the cost of one Leoupold, but they are great also.
