Finally connected with my Competitor in 7mm-08 this morning. Had two does and their yearlings come in about 9:30. Had a young eight point trailing close behind. One of the does finally worked downwind of me and stomped once. She picked up her foot to stomp again and it never touched the ground. Shot was only about thirty yards with a 140gr accubond. Went in behind left front shoulder and exited right front shoulder. DRT.

Eric, I hope you like your Competitor as much as I like mine. Even though I've been waiting for a barrel since March of 2010, I still love my guns, not sure if I'll ever get my barrel though.

Franchise I'm not sure what's going to happen to competitior. I think they could have alot more of the SP market if they were marketed better. That and being able to walk in a store and put your hands on one would be nice also. I enjoy shooting mine but I think I will probably go back to a revolver platform as my primary hunting gun. If I remember correctly about the barrel you ordered they may have done you a favor.
