Finally the stars have aligned and I am off. Going to my buddy's club in South Carolina for some whitetail hunting. He asked which rifle I was going to bring. I just laughed and said "I can't decide. It is either my G2 in 6.5 JDJ or my G2 in .375 JDJ." He kinda groaned and said "Those ain't rifles!" I laughed and said "I don't need a rifle!"
I am also gonna take one of my Rugers...probably my OM Blackhawk in .44 Special that Mr. Bowen did for me. Some 250 grain Keith loads ought to do for up close. It's been 2 years since I have had one of my pistols in the woods and this is gonna be a good trip.

All I killed was a lot of time! I saw a doe about 80 yards away, which is easy range for my G2, but she was standing behind a feeder and I couldn't get a shot. I saw 4 turkeys and a bobcat, 3 beautiful sunrises and sunsets, had great food and even better company, so this trip was a success.
