I am thinking about playing around with XPB's in my 45 Colt Super Blackhawk hunter and my FA 454 Casull.
However, I like the looks of the velocity one can get with the Colt, but the 454 loads I have found seem a bit light. I know you can't drive them as fast as others because of the case volume and such. If I could load the 454 up like what Double Tap gets out of theirs, I think I'd be cookin, but don't know if this is possible with handloads.
but I was curious what loads do you guys use?

ps, I emailed Barnes about loads and if I could use H110 or win296 and they just emailed me their load data using Enforcer and No. 7 . not really the answer I was hoping for

I load and get 1750 fps with a non max load. Theres load data i can send ya up to i believe up to 1850 fps. This is plenty. Ive had drt kills on bears, hogs, buffalo with loads in the 1600 fps range. H110 is the way to go.

tradmark, thanks for the reply! that is what I hear, and I know you have had great success with this bullet by your pictures!
I use H110 with most of my other loads and really like it. around 1850 would be just the kind of load I am looking for. I have a 454 Casull, so I like it to shoot like one
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I would be interested in that load data from you.
