Congrats! Neat marking down his forehead, reminds me of a horse I noticed that right off as well. Very nice deer and one I'd liked to have seen in my woods. WTG!

Nice buck, Dan! I've never seen a deer with a blaze; that's cool.

Nice buck.
I see you're in SW PA - whereabouts? I lived in Washington county and hunted SW PA quite a bit.

Outstanding! Nice deer. Good photo of you the and youngun! Still trying to find the deer around here. Every hunting day so far has been around 75* and 20-40 mph winds when I can get out.

Couple more pics from the side to see other angles. I'm very happy with him. Also thought that facial stripe was pretty cool!

OK.....more of the story.
The first morning was par for PA......high 30's and remenants of a teaser snow that had fallen on Saturday. Seems that we ALWAYS get a teaser snow that doesn't stay around for the first day. I was greated in my tripod stand by ice on the plastic seat. Was in there on Thanksgiving to clean out the coon poop and forgot the put the seat back down...so the snow melted and left a nice layer of ice for me to chip at. I hoped a cold, wet left butt cheek was as bad as the day would get.
Turns out I didn't have to deal with that for long. As I was sitting quartering to the right on my seat I caught a glimpse of movement about 50yds away at the edge of the powerline. It was an antler. Usually legs, heads or body movement get my attention, NOT antlers. I immediately twisted in the swivel chair, raised the gun and clicked the safety off as my forearms hit the safety rail to rest in one fluid motion. The Burris was set on 5X for just such this situation. As my eye lined up with the reticle, the buck stopped with only a 6" area of his lower shoulder exposed......that's all I needed. The next thing I remember is the buck turning quickly with blood gushing everywhere. He sprinted 20yds and crashed.
The 125gr NBT split the heart in about four pieces and the near side shoulder was broke. The exit was just behind the shoulder.
