Hi

I am looking at putting a Trijicon RMR on my Freedom Arms .475 and was wondering which MOA would be better.

I am going to use it primarily for Hog hunting and possible another Bear hunt with hounds.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dean

RMR 06 - it has the 3.5 MOA dot and the dot quality on those is very good.

Not familiar with that model, but anything in the 3MOA to 5MOA area works well for all-around use, IMO.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Gabe Suarez has been putting 6.5-8.0 MOA RMRs on Glocks and what now for a few years now and some of his guys have made hits with 9mm out to 200yds on steel.

That size dot is fine for CQB but it covers too much of the vitals on a game animal that you're trying to kill cleanly. I'm pretty sure the high-speed guys wouldn't be shooting at bad guys at 200 yards with a 9mm if they had any other option.

Thanks everyone

I really appreciate the information - RMR with 3.5 MOA looks like the ticket.
