I have pick up a factory Encore 7mm-08 barrel. I have a 7-30 Waters for the lighter bullets. So I am looking to run 140 gr for hog and deer hunting. What do you shoot in your 7mm-08?

Before I switched to the 120 gr NBT's, I was shooting 140 gr NBT's over IMR 4350.

Changed to the lighter bullets to differentiate between the ones for the Encore and the ones for my long gun. Not surprising, but haven't shot the 7-08 Kimber in a while. She sure is pretty sitting in the safe though.

I use 139 gr. Hornady spire points (flat base) and H-4895 or RE 15 with CCI BR2 primers in both my XP's and in the 3 rifles I've owned over the years in that chambering.

I have had exelent results on deer using 140grn speer soft point boat tails over H-380. First load I ever tried, and it worked great so I never messed with it. I don't shoot off the bench once my gun is sighted in, so I don't have exact group measurments, but it will shoot MOA if I do my part. 15 inch Encore. Took 3 bucks the last 3 years at 300, 110, and 134 yrds. The 300yrd shot didn't exit, but the deer was slightly quartering away so the bullet had farther to travel.
