Hey Guys, I see loads for a 440gr. bullet for my 475 Linebaugh. But does anyone know where I can find this bullet? I've been looking all over the website, and can't seem to track the down.

The heaviest I can find to load yourself are from Grizzly (Cast Performance) and are 425 grain. Maybe the 440 was a custom bullet mould from LBT?

Buffalo Bore loads a 440 grainer -- might contact Tim Sundles about this bullet. That said, a 420 or 425 grain bullet is more than enough.

I found a company called Moutian Mold Cast bullet Molds. This guy has a program on his sight that can make a bullet mold for just about any grain weight you can think of "with in reason." It was very interesting to say the least..

I use the 425CP and 355 TrueShot. I thought Buffalo Bore was strictly loading CP bullets. I do know in .458 CP discontinued their 440 and went to a 460. If the data is old and Buffalo Bore isn't offering the 440 anymore that may be the issue. I agree with whit though, anything between over 400 will kill anything your looking for. I like the 355 as it gives me a flatter trajectory since I gain 300fps with it and at 1550 that 355 will go through anything in North America and I've found it to be an accurate bullet and last I checked Oregon Trail TrueShots are the hardest bullets commercially available with a with a brinnel hardness of 24.
I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them. John Wayne-The Shootist

The Mountain Molds, are pretty reasonably priced, and the ability to design just the mold you want is very hard to beat.

I don't have a 475, but your mention of Buffalo Bore having the 440 hit me. Rim Rock bullets does a lot of the Buffalo Bore bullets. I just checked, and they do have the 440 grainer in .475. I got my first batch of 45 calber bullets from them recently, so I do not have much to say about leading/hardness/etc., but the bullets came fast, and look good.
