In October I picked up this BF falling block 22. Today I decided to rob a scope off my XP-100 and range test it. This is my first falling block or E.A. Brown pistol. The gun is kinda quirky to operate for a guy used to a Contender. Loading the gun requires some dexterity, especialy if a scope is mounted. The action must be opened briskly to clear the empties or they get hung up. The trigger on my gun is light and crisp, and I mean LIGHT. The trigger breaks before moving my trigger pull guage so I figure the pull is around 2 oz. With a 3x-9x Burris mounted, I sighted the gun in at 50 yards. I tried a small assortment of 22 ammo with CCI Green Tag being the only premium load. Groups ran around an inch with the gun prefering the Green Tag. The average for 5 5-shot groups was right at 3/4 inch. I am looking foward to trying other match ammo and seeing how tight this gun will group.
So far I can overlook the quirks if the gun will shoot tiny groups. I figure the gun will be a bench toy as heavy as it is and having a 2oz trigger.
