Being single is nice. Affords me a lot of luxuries that I deem important in my life. My kids are mostly grown and for the most part its just me and the old dog on Sunday nights. Football, a cocktail, and plenty of time to invest in my hobbies.
Here is the problem and why I think I need a wife. All this free time finds me on the computer researching new loads and BUYING everything I want. Oh my horrible life. Without a wife there isn't anyone to say no before I hit the purchase button.
Single life just ain't cheap (said tongue in cheek)

LOL, yeah I think about how many toys I'd have if I hadn't married so young and had so many kids. Aside from the ex wife though I guess I'll keep the kids and current wife.

I am fortunate to have a wife that is very understanding.......until........
A couple of years ago she helped me do the annual check up and wipe down. Once all the safes were unloaded she got to looking around. All of the sudden she asks "what is this"? A deer rifle I replied. What is this? A deer rifle I replied again. How many of these are deer rifles???? "Several". No, I want to know how many are deer rifles! UHHHHHHHHHHHHH 57. What's this???? Elephant gun. How many are elephant guns???????? "Five". What do you need with five elephant guns?????? Then the shotguns, handguns, varmit guns, antiques guns and muzzle loaders. It went south from there. Didn't stop me though ;-)

The whole key to being married and getting to do what ya want, and i see very few young guys doing this, is letting the wife know ya love her and youll handle everything with bills etc that youre responsible for but that beyond that im not gonna ask permission to get a gun or go hunting amd do this fro The start. I discuss things with my wife but dont ask permission if that makes sense. She instituted a rule on me not long ago and that is to take her shooting too ad if i buy a gun she wants one too. This from a woman that if she had her way when we first got married, id never have gone hunting

And never forget that it is easier to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission.......

Once upon a time a co-worker had me carry about a dozen guns to my house for extended hiding so his wife wouldn't kill him. He tried to convince her that he had sold them. Nearly worked till she wanted the money he sold them for.....

I tell all my girlfriends "I will never get married again". Some think I will change my mind. Obviously they don't know me too well lol.

We just celebrated our 24th anniversary Monday. For Christmas she bought me a new Aimpoint for my AR she bought me for my birthday.

I bought my wife a PT22 as an early valentines day present and she bought me a 4 position holster and set of Hogue Grim Reaper scrimshaw grips for my new Remington R1 1911.
