Im totally fed up with my Pact pro chronograph. It never works for a full range session. I talked with their tech and wasnt helpful for my issues. Always seems to work for my 22 pistol but hardly ever for my centerfire guns, pistols or rifles. So Im thinking about getting a MastaBeta Shooting Chrony. Anybody happy with theirs?

I got no complaints. The remote readout is a must have.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I didn't care for mine, shipped it back and got the Competition Electronics Pro model, it doesn't have the remote but I still like it better than the Shooting Chrony which I found to be inconsistent in reads and the display characters hard to read.
I may have just got a lemon as I see others like the Shooting Chrony.

One of my shooting/hunting buddies has a Shooting Chrony and it works like a champ. Tip: Once you find the sweet spot tape the sun shield support. Then all you have to do is place the horizontal retical of your scope on the tape for consistent results.

Mine has been doing well for a lot of years. I do need to get new sky screens for mine, as the plastic has gotten brittle, and the locking tabs are just barely holding. I also like my Pact as far as functioning, but the two foot bar, not so much.

Did a bunch of reading. Went eaney meaney miney moe and ordered a competition electronics pro. I can upgrade with a remote if I like it and Midway will take it back if I dont like it. If it doesnt work out I think Ill spring for the Oehler 35. Sounds like chronographs can be very sensitive to light conditions, muzzle blast, bad wires, poor quality control, low batteries, and day of the week... Ughh..
