being stuck in bed I've been spending too much time on Gunbroker. Not long ago I bought my R1 1911 and now I'm waiting on a Chiappa 1911-22, Remington 700 LSS 300 RUM, 8#'s of powder, 200 Barnes TSX 30cal bullets, 5k Winchester LP primers. Then I ordered a 460 Rowland conversion from Clarks and I picked up a little brass from them and Doc with a Glock. I've got several hundred bullets and dies coming from Midway and Natchez. Now I have to wait for everything and it sucks. The 1911 stuff is what I'm primarily stoked about. I'll keep my custom build as a carry in ACP, my R1 will become the 460 and the Chiappa will be my plinking/practice gun. The RUM is a replacement for an identical one I swapped to Dan B. and it's one of those guns I've regretted selling ever since.

One thing is for certain, I'd better get back to work soon. I don't think I can afford to be laid up much longer and my wife is liable to use one of my new toys on me!

I feel for you buddy. If it makes you feel better I spent a grand on the firearm with the long barrel and a butstock. The powder I want that looks awesome for this cartridge is IMR 7828 ssc and oh by the way not findable. I got brass, magnum primers, bullets, dies but can't get the powder.

My buddy found some 7828 and I had him get me a couple extra pounds. I'll get the name of the place if ou want so you can see if they still have some. This was just a couple days ago he ordered a few pounds for himself and then mine. It's my favorite powder for the RUM although at 87gr per round it kind of sucks, at least I didn't buy a 30-378.

I thought your Rowland was going to be on your HK? I think that might have been a stronger platform, but it's hard not to have a soft spot for 1911's.

I too have to wait for my next project, but I cannot even back-order what I want. i have to get the email notification, then rush my order. This is a new experience for me, as I am usually an impulse buyer. Strange times indeed.
