With today`s economy its getting harder to buy the handguns you would like to own, however, the handguns I do own cover everything I could wish to hunt, but, as the saying goes: I have more guns then I need but not as many as I want. After some thought I was thinking about a custom Redhawk made for the RCA a number of years ago that I would love to own. Another is the reintroduction of the Walther PPK/S in 22lr that was a favorite of Skeeter and, of course, the 6.5-284 single shot I recently shot. What handguns do you wish you had???

Always wanted a Dan Wesson Razorback in 10mm. Now want a CCO 45 to go with it. I had a plastic German P-38 when I was a kid and always wanted a real one. A Walther PPK....Bond, James Bond.

And, a custom 500JRH SRH.

Rod, too.

I to would like to have a 500 JRH but on a 5 1/2" FA's frame. But what I'd really like is to have Rod take my blued gp100 and make a 5 shot 41 mag. out of it. Now that would make me a happy camper.

A broom handle? I don't know what the tech name is for them, but they were way cool. Maybe a tack driver Bisley rim fire gun also.

I am one of the fortunate ones that actually picked up the "one I wish I had". The Springfield TRP was the number one gun on my bucket list. The 460 S&W was the number one hunting handgun I wanted, and I got it in a custom MGM on a stainless Encore Pro Hunter this last year. The only other one I really want isn't a handgun, but rather a shotgun: a Caesar Guerini Summit Sporting.

believe it or not, I want a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt with a7-1/2" barrel....but not Vaqueero. I want one to hunt with, not Cowboy shooting.

I would like to have a custom, built from a 3 screw flat top Ruger ; chambered in 45C or 44 mag; a case color hardened frame, hammer, and trigger; deep high gloss blued barrel and non-fluted cylinder; a brass grip frame; Bowen sights; and custom grips made from sheep horn....of course, this is only a dream...right now.

Yes, that's the one I was after. I knew someone else would want one.

Hmmm - this is definitely dangerous ground! I agree, the need component has been bypassed long ago, but sadly it doesn't make the desire any less for the next "one".

Topping the list...a TLA #5, followed by Bowen Nimrod/banded barrel Linebaugh, and an octagonal FA. Probably closest to the latter. But if none of them ever come to pass, I'm ok with that too - I've been blessed with more than I deserve!

I didn't get married till later on in life and in my single years I never denied myself anything my heart desired.

Now that I am Blessed with a wonderful wife and four little redneck, nothing would make me happier then a couple 22l. revolvers, so we could all enjoy some taget punching as a family.. By the way, it will be hopefully be a reality soon.

I too have no need for more hunting handguns or handguns of any type. However, I would like a M97 in 22LR. We are going to Wyoming in June & plan to go to Freedom's while there. It will be difficult not to place an order while there.

The only other guns that I can think of right now are (1) another semi in 9mm (I have a Kimber, maybe an STI) and (2) a Perazzi single bbl trap gun.

Mine list is easy and short. A Colt built up just like Elmer Kieth's #5 is first on the list, but least attainable. Second, the factory Colt Python in 41 magnum if it exists. Third, a Colt Diamondback in 22 magnum. Yup, that's it. Not too much to ask I don't suppose.

My wish is a custom 309 JDJ 14" contender barrel from SKS with TSOB mounts and matching custom frame. I would want a Burris scope even though it is not recommended by SSK.

since this is a wish list, two Weatherby MK V's with premium wood, one in 30-378 and one in 338-378 both with a lifetime supply of ammo. They take too much powder to load for and factory ammo is seriously expensive.

Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC, FN FiveseveN, I think it would make a neat gun out in the field with the 40gr V-max, 1911 in .22 tcm, Also a Dan Wesson pistol pack is something I find really cool.

Python, I`ve read that Colt made a few Pythons in 41 mag and saw a photo of a custom in an auction catalog. I believe they also made a few in 256 Win Mag....

Python,

I have actually fired a python in 41 mag. Unfortunately, I did not own it.

I had a python in 357 mag and sold it. I still kick myself every time I here the word python. James, I actually shot one in 41 mag tat was owned by a sheriffs deputy friend of mine back in Colorado. It was a fantastic shooter. Their triggers are exceptional in SA only. At the time he was trying to find the 44 special and the 256 to round out his collection. He also had several very nice real colt peacemakers in various calibers all from the late 1800's. i purchased my python from him. It had a lot of bluing wear from going in and out of his duty holster. His other 2 pythons in 357 mag were mint.

James, wtroper and cfish2, you have just added fuel to my fire. I had always heard that the .41's were a myth. Knowing that they are truly out there, I'm going to have to start looking harder. I also did not know that any ever made there way out of the factory in .256. Has anyone ever seen one of those out there?

One last question, if you could find one and get it bought, would you shoot it?

Thanks for the responses.

I would really like to have a 50 cal, and the FA83 in 500 WYO Express is the one i am drooling over.

I would also like to have a nice short packing pistol for backup/ bear protection in a 4" redhawk in either 44 mag or 45 colt
