I just retired this month, want to go antelope hunting, would prefer Wyoming but can go to any state. Its probably to late this year to book a hunt I would think, I wanted to ask you guys if anybody wanted to recommend an outfitter. I am going to be using a 15 in encore in 357 Max or 41 Mag haven't decided yet. Just figured might get a good recommendation on an outfitter before I wore the phone out calling people.
Thank You

Contact Bill Reno at 307-682-0812. I know he does deer hunts and prairie dog shoots, and he may do antelope too. Super nice guy! North of Gillette

Gregg may have room on his upcoming hunt, check the Anouncement section for info on his hunt.

If Ernie suggested an outfitter, he'd be my first choice.........
Or, if you are willing to wait for next year, I'd be willing to do a DIY with you. Myself and possibly another fella from the site may be going to WY.

If you want to go with a handgun hunter and outfitter with a proven track record for the past 24 plus years, PM me to talk about a handgun hunt for antelope for 2014. Or you can also gamble on a DIY deal. There are plenty of hunters out there looking for the same DIY thing. QUOTE by Dan B: "Myself and possibly another fella from the site may be going to WY." Possibly? May?If you hunt with me it will be on a proven private ranch with our group exclusively. Stats don't lie. Over 600 antelope by handgun hunters on my hunts.

You two need to work out your differences in private or learn to ignore each other. It's ok to disagree but this seems to have gone beyond that.

i'd ask around over at the specialty pistols site. several over there have handgunned antelope every yr for several yrs now....without much gamble on the DIY. hook up with some other friends rather than paying someone to be your friend....lol.
Kentucky….no place like home.

Idaho's draw application is open from May to June. There are quite a few goats within minutes of my house on public ground and I am not going to cost you nothing but conversation and huntin' stories. Might even feed you once in a while.
I know a few people with private ground goats also.

As far as the draw deadline for Wyoming, that is now past. However, if some of you still would like to hunt Wyoming this year, there will be a list of left-over licenses, including for either-sex.
When that list is published you can study what areas still have tags available and plan your hunt accordingly.
In general, the areas with left-over either sex tags usually fall into one or both of these categotries: 1. A very good number of bucks as well as does in that area; or 2. Most of that unit is private land.
In some cases it is both. If you contact Wyoming Game and Fish they usually will supply a list of landowners area specific that allow hunting. Usually that comes with a trespass fee.
