Walked into my local shop and on the shelf was a brand new sbh hunter in ss... not a bisley. So I asked him if he would trade my sbh up on the hunter plus cash.He was willing ..sticker price was 685.00 took a little bit of a hit on my sbh only has 200 rds through it ... Is the hunter that much better of a gun ... I have till tomorrow to make up my mind.I was going to drill and tap the sbh for a scope ... anyhow ...and he has a used 4x leupold on the shelf.

What's he offering on your gun? Why don't you sell it outright? Seeing them around here for $450.
Looked at Bisley.44 Hunter last month that was used, super clean and had a scope for $550. Called back later to get it and it was gone.
BTW.....love my Hunter model guns.

I had the SB Bisley Hunter but the only advantages I could see over the SBH is that it is scope ready and the ease of changing the front sight. I kinda like the SBH a little better because it had the 6 1/2 inch barrel, but either one is a good gun.

Not being from ny you dont have to go through gun shop transfers and finding somebody with a handgun permit to transfer too .On top of the limited gunshops that sell handguns in my area .. they really do have you by the shortys...Its a shop owners world here.Any gun you buy has to be registered before pick up so if you travel you have to make two trips or pay a over night shipping fee and a transfer fee usually adding up too 100.00 or more.I have looked for a year for a Bisley or hunter model and this is the first new or used I have found.Add to the fact the big gun grab and panick purchases in the last 3 months shelves are bare.400 for by sbh and 250 cash is the deal.

400 for by sbh and 250 cash is the deal. Seems like he is giving you a fair deal on your gun. LikeI said before, most used ones here in a shop are in the $450 range.

I'd take it, unless there is some personal meaning to the gun you have. Sure don't want to regret it later. But that being said, if it doesn't have any sentimental value to it, I'd trade it!

its drawn more of my blood than it has critters Sounds like an easy decision then. I had a hunter and sold it off because I didn't like the scope over the barrel. Some love it, I didn't, you might.
Rod, too.

If you can get a like new Leupold for 1/2 of new price you found a deal. Somwehere between there and 2/3 of new is where the current models seem to run.
Rod, too.

If it's the FX-II model, $200-225 is the going rate for that one on the forum classified. The M8-4X has been running a little lower in the $150-175 range.

Go for it Mike, you will love the Hunter, I bought one last summer, and have nothing but good to say about it,I even killed a deer with it opening morning, you might want to consider a Ultra Dot Match Dot for that bad boy.
