How do your hunting grips compare to this? Any other articles you recommend? Seems like grip is very important to accuracy.

The God who gave us such a beautiful land, wonderful game, and the sport of hunting is worth knowing.

Jerry is a double action kinda guy, a good one, and his technique is refined for that discipline. It is a little different with cowboy guns, but consistancy is the common thread.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I grip my revolvers very similar to the way suggested by Max Prasac in his book. I was pleased to see his approach.

Consistency is probably the most Important aspect of hand gunning. I know for USPSA I will sit and practice my quick grasp and draw a few hundred times a week to stay competitive. I will often record a shooting session so that I can see after a practice session where I went wrong or did it right.

Thumb over thumb on the left side of the gun.
