When out shooting last Saturday and had a blast. 5 Hours of shooting with quite a few good results!

Yes, there are bullet holes all over the place. I had 30 targets set up at one time. I used the 6-24 scope on my 270 rifle to confirm shots. I still had to go down range every couple of volleys to mark the holes with a pen to keep them all straight.

I don’t have a picture for this one, I forgot to take it down, but my 300 Whisper did fairly well with a 148gr (312-440) and 18gr of H110. 1925fps and it did and honest 1.5in group at 100. I can guarantee there will be a few coons and countless turtles that will be introduced to the Whisper…

22 K Hornet 7/8ths three shot group.
55gr Bator-heavy dose of Lee tumble lube, CCI small rifle, and 5gr Green Dot at 1850 fps.

22 Hornet there is four shots there…
55gr Bator-heavy dose of Lee tumble lube, Fed small rifle, and 7.5gr SR4795 at 1580 fps.

460 S&W now that the scope has stopped turning… … … LOL 3 shot group
250gr FTX over 47gr H110 and CCI Mag Rifle at 2300fps. Not maxed, but the more accurate load.

7-30 Waters (this has to be a “fast” barrel) Four shots
139SpBt over 33.3gr H335 and a CCI Large Rifle at 2400fps. I did a second test to confirm those speeds…

Bottom left

308 Win – 3/4in three shots
150gr SST over H4895 and Win primer at 2750

Bottom left again

35-06 JDJ
358009 Win primer and 50gr of H4895 at 2200fps. That’s three shots… I had to scratch my head on that one when I shot. I looked through the back side of the card board and was in shock with the group.

The bad news was that my prized 375 JDJ’s scope blew. But I was very happy with the way the guns were shooting.

Cheers

Duane

You've a right to be happy. I'll have my chance in a month or so

Rod, too.

Great shooting Duane!

Question on the 22 Hornet, have you guys ever tried small pistol primers? Just curious as to why it wouldn't work, or not work very well, with say h-110 or w296.

Thanks for the kind words gents!

Wheelguns, I don't know... I heard of a few people doing that when there was a small rifle primmer shortage.

Rod and SCH, yes and no. Yes, the scope pictured with the 35-06 JDJ is a 3200 Bushnell 2-6. The 375 JDJ which is not pictured wears a 2-7 Burris. LOL
