I'm in need of a little help, and I know I'm at the right place for assistance. I'm trying to find out who makes a base that I can use to put a Delta Point on my FA model 83. Thanks for any assistance you guys can give me...

Freedom Arms direct. They sell the base for the Delta/J-Point/Trijicon that fits in the well where the rear sight mounts.
And disregard the part on their instructions about not having to use the shims. All of us have had to use them!

Thank you, just ordered it. I'm planning to put a delta point on top of my 475. It will primarily be used for hunting. What would work better, the 3.5 or 7.5?

Linebaugh,
I went with the 3.5 MOA dot as opposed to the 7.5 MOA triangle. Some users like the triangle and use the tip for precise aiming, but the dot works fine for me. Currently running it on my 4 3/4" 500WE and have used it from bright sunlight to last light. Not gonna be my last one...

If the choice is between dot and triangle I will take the dot, regardless of size.
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

......And disregard the part on their instructions about not having to use the shims. All of us have had to use them! Except for me... My shim is still in the box, but mine is on a FA97 45C; not a M83.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

One more question. Does the Cross set work for my FA, or do I have to order the All attachment set?

Linebaugh - you don't need the all attachment set for the Delta and the FA; the FA mount you use replaces the Weaver/Cross slot piece that you'd use to mount it to a conventional rail design.
And KRal - hang onto that shim...you'll need it on an 83!
