Found a recipe on a box of reloads I was given: 21.5grns H110,210grn hornady H.P ww brass CCI 350 primer. question is the primer too hot? What is anybody's opinion of this? I have 2 .41 revolvers,a ruger blhwk and a s&w model 57. Would the Smith handle it ok? Any response much appreciated. Thanx

It is warm, but not max. The Ruger would handle it just fine.

I am a little anal about shooting other's reloads. I just don't do it.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Amen s4s4u. bullet pullers are cheap vs gun, life. or limb.

I wouldn't shoot someone else's loads either unless there was a very compelling reason to do so. I would pull the bullets and start over.

I gladly accept reloads from anyone. They go home where the bullets can be pulled and the powder discarded. I am an NRA reloading instructor and I always tell people to trust only your own loads.

I`am shooting a 41mag load taken from Hornady`s 4th edition reload manual that`s a max load using 22.7grs. of H-110 over a 210gr XTP in my S&W 657. This reload is accurate in my gun and shows no pressure signs. However, I find that its 0.7grs over todays max load using the same components. With that said I must add that it`s always risky to shoot someone`s handloads when you cannot be positive of their charge weight and brand of powder...
