I was in Home Depot the other day picking up a few things for the house and saw the dummy rounds for the 22 nail gun used to anchor penny nails into concrete and it got me thinking.

With our current 22 shortage I was wondering if one could utilize the dummy round. either by reloading the ammo with bullets or by simple getting a short dummy and placing a bullet in front of it in the chamber.

Just thinking out loud... ... ...

Necessity is the mother of invention. Walk carefully, a bullet lodged in the barrel could act as an obstruction and blowup.

TC tex, Kind of thinking you are joking...lol

Just because it goes BANG! doesn't mean the pressure or (pressure curve) is compatible. And what bullets did you have in mind?

Careful what you say here, some may read it and actually try it!

LOL!

Ya, but the trick is to get them before they breed.

s4s4U, you are probably right. But its more fun watching them take themselves out. The ways they come up with to accomplish it are amazing!!

I guess my thinking was if there was a way to open the crimp, set a powder charge and re-set a bullet properly it might be a doable way to reload 22LR right now.
