The newest Linebaugh. This one was made by Dustin. Shot it with my favorite all around load this afternoon and its gonna be a keeper! Been wanting another short packing sixgun for everyday use. Bought this one a couple months back and snapped a pic this afternoon.

I like it, if I stay in the custom build side of things I'm going to get set up to do the octagon barrels. They just look cool.

Thanks guys. I liked the work Dustin did to blend the ERH to the main frame. Subtle detail but one that I thought looked nice. His work is outstanding.

I love the gun Glenn, she is beautiful. By the way, what is your favorite load? Just wondering, I know my favorite starts with a Cast Performance 425gr. WFNGC..

My favorite bullet the last 6 years or so has been the 420 LFN. For about the last year, I've been playing with the 385 grain HP that Miha built for us. It also throws a bullet a little over 400 as a solid. The HP version is what I'm currently working with still. Over 14-15 grains of HS 6, it is very mild recoiling, it shoots to the sights and hits like a hammer. One thing I've found interesting over the years is that the lighter load hits almost dead nuts on with the 1200 fps load with the heavier slug. Makes things simple

You're not kidding! Talk about simplifying things, particularly with fixed sights!

That was my reasoning also Whit. I had a 500 4 3/4" vaquero built about 4 years ago but I much prefer the feel of this one. The only thing I can figure is the subtle changes that Dustin makes to the gripframe when he shapes and decks it makes it feel a little less blocky in the hand. My 500 always seemed blocky, this one is nothing like that. I think the shape of the stocks and the gripframe changes make all the difference. Small changes but you can definitely feel it. Dustin's stocks are the best I've ever felt on a bisley. He really knows how to shape them but he's been shooting these things for 25 years so I figure he has it figured out

I agree Glenn, full house rounds are not always the needed pill. I think that a lot of times, us guy's think we receive more out of the bullet by cranking it up to the max. The truth be known, we only beat the day-lights out of ourselves and the gun.
I actually found with my Linebaugh, by backing the loads down about 1.5 grains, the gun was more accurate, and I could shoot the gun more accurately.

It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

Wow, that is a thing of beauty! I love every line on her. Not a big fan of bi-color rigs but that is why they make red cars and blue cars!

Good job and I am a fan of big bullets at 1000-1200 fps, leads to very controllable recoil.

Not a big fan of the two tones myself but this one seemed to work. This is the same basic configuration as Dustin's personal gun. the octagon and dovetailed front sight are pretty much the only differences. Glad you like it!

That is an exceptionally nice gun. I am more of a fan of the round barrels and barrel bands but that octagon really is sweet.

While they're wrestling, I'll slip in the back...

Beautiful piece, Glenn!

So are you stretching some new hide for this one, or does Mike get the creative duties? Don't let him bribe you with gun leather!

And KRal, that's sneaky. But smart - I best make quick work of Barranti. I don't think he's in my weight class anyway

Haha. Ill do something but it may be awhile. Due to the flood of 2013, the basement and all my stuff is out of service for a few days

Still thinking, don't know exactly what I want to do for it just yet.
