So we got the kodiak hunter holster from galco for our trip to africa. There had been some question about this holster and its quality so id like to report its a great product. Very very nice holster and the way it carries is just awesome. The scoped 460 rides nicely and its highly adjustable. In all truth it carries really nicely and really doesnt feel so bulky and as my son said, it just feel any heavier or more uncomfortable than his other hunting pistols. The word prior to ising this holster was that the 460 is a heckuva gun. Just one we wouldnt have used runnig through the mountains. That has changed, really id carry this gun anywhere with this holster. Very very nice

Mark, you know better then most how big a scoped S&W 460 is and if you say the Galco carries it nicely then it may be the time for me to get one as I`ve had my eye on that holster for quite sometime...

Nice score Mark - I had hoped they had made one for the 10.5" PC model, as it looked to be some solid work of gunleather.

I would bet it would fit that gun as well. The gun is essentially fully secured in the holster by the stiff leather around the trigger guard and i bet theres almost 2" of leather sticking out at over the barrel. This would also work for an unscoped gun as well

I measured and it would stick out about an inch schunter. If it sticking out a touch its hold securely. Not sure how many other choices you have
