I was given a box of 168gr TSX's for my Striker in .308win. and was hoping someone had a pet load using H4895, IMR4895, Varget, or 3031 powders.
I haven't been able to find a load for the TSX and 15" barrel. In fact I really haven't found any loading data using Barnes tsx in handguns. Do they not work in short barrels? Any info. is welcomed and thanked in advance.

I've taken around 2 dozen deer with 168 gr. TSxs in my .308 HS and .309 JDJ (Contender equivalent). I haven't used your powders in my .308. My best load has been 44.0 gr. IMR 4064. About all the 150s and 165/8s shoot pretty close together.
Performance of the 168s are O.K.- 1 1/4" exits, 2" internal damage. Of all the .308 bullets I've tested the best performers (damage wise) have been 150 and 165 BTs, and the best (oddly enough) the old 150 gr. Winchester Silver Tips. They do about 1/3 to 1/2 more damage than the BTs!

Thanks for the info. wvhitman! There just isn't much out there for Barnes.
They so show Varget in Barnes data, but because of the powder shortage I have.what I have and I don't have much varget left. So H4895, IMR4895, and IMR3031 is it.
Has anyone used any of these powders for TSX 168gr. .308win bullet? Please please please! :-)
